Job Purpose:

 

• Will work under Assistant Chief Electrician with a team of Electricians to maintain, service & repair electrical installations and equipment on offshore construction, derrick and pipe lay vessels.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

• Supervises & participates in repair, maintenance and service activities on electrical equipment/installations.

• Receives work orders.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematic diagrams for equipment and control system.

• Fair knowledge about operation & maintenance of soft starters and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)

• Determines tool & construction aid needed.

• Maintains tools & equipment.

• Clean & safe workplace.

• Compliance in accordance with HSE Standard.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualification and Experience:

 

• 9/10 years schooling & trade training.

• Attendance at courses & seminars.

• 6-8 year’s relevant experience.

• Supervisory potential.

• Written and spoken English.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, single line diagram and parts/overhaul manuals.
